Nixing Mein Kampf

As members of the Book Club That Doesn’t Read Books, we have picked Mein Kampf (My Struggles) as the first selection we choose not to read. Forget Adolf’s struggles, this book just isn’t worth it. Here's our reason why: because.

Don’t get us wrong, we’re all quite literate and love to read. However, we believe there's a time not to read. This has nothing to do with censorship. We plan to not read many wonderful books, as well. Such as:

1. Little Women
2. Marley and Me
3. All Quiet on the Western Front
4. Everyone Poops (My Body Science)
5. For Whom the Bell Tolls
6. The Jumbo Duct Tape Book
7. Crime and Punishment
8. Lassie Come Home
9. Organizational Surveys

Now, back to our struggle with Mein Kampf. While some people might like reading the delusional wanderings of an inbred madman, we are annoyed with his mustache. Plus, he dated his niece.

We welcome comments and suggestions of future books not to read.

Anyone can read a book, but it takes experience and a discerning eye to recognize a great book that is best left on the shelf. I admire the well-unread.

I’m so busy with my job as retiree that this is exactly what I need. I certainly don’t have time to read books that are not previously reviewed by the BC’s (Book Club). Thanks for a much needed service. HAB
